Toy Story 3 iPod Movie Plot:
In this installment of the hit Pixar animated adventure, toy cowboy Woody (voiced by Tom Hanks), his astronaut pal, Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen), and their friends cope with their owner's departure for college -- and their new home in a daycare center. Lee Unkrich directs this family film that features the voices of Joan Cusack, John Ratzenberger, Don Rickles, Wallace Shawn, Ned Beatty, Jodi Benson and Estelle Harris.
The toys are mistakenly delivered to a day-care center instead of the attic right before Andy leaves for college, and it's up to Woody to convince the other toys that they weren't abandoned and to return home.

Andy is now 17 and too old to play with toys anymore. As a result, Woody (Tom Hanks), Buzz (Tim Allen) and the rest of the gang are getting bored and lonely.
It gets worse when Andy packs up his room to leave for college.
He puts his toys in a bag to stash in the attic but a series of mix-ups sees them sent to a daycare centre instead.
This should be toy heaven, eternally full of small children who will play with toys all day every day.
But the children - and older toys - are far from angels.
Pixar consistently sets the standard for animated features and with Toy Story 3, they have set the bar exceptionally high for anything that will come after it.
Purely in terms of animation, the movie looks superb and the 3D element is used with subtle skill to make the experience more immersive without getting gimmicky - though I don't think the experience would be lessened for watching it in 2D.
The voice acting and characterisation is also brilliant, giving life to these computer-animated characters in a way rarely seen.
With plenty of action and fun for the littlies, every so often there was a low rumble of laughter as the adults chuckled at the sly grown-up jokes the kids didn't get.
The film is obviously very brand-conscious with labels like Barbie, Slinky and Mr Potato Head making cameos, but this isn't so much about the toys themselves as it is about the imagination that children bring when they play with them.
The kids in this movie play with spaceships made from cardboard boxes and there is not a computer game in sight, which is a refreshing message for a movie aimed at a toy-buying demographic.
However, an action sequence at a junkyard borders on being a bit scary for really small kids.
The character Big Baby is easily the creepiest thing I have seen in a family movie (when you see it, you'll know what I mean).
Toy Story 3 is equal parts hilarious, touching, insightful and exciting and anyone who doesn't come out smiling probably isn't human.
Bonus: the animated featurette, Night and Day, which screens before the main feature, is an incredibly beautiful reminder of how even simple animation can work magic on your emotions.
Now showing at Village cinemas Hobart (3D and 2D), Eastlands and Glenorchy, rated G.
